RN Annual Retreat
Challenges and Miracles in Life: A Quranic Perspective on Adversities & Their Gifts
December 22-25, 2018
This year’s theme is centered around looking at our challenges in life from a Quranic perspective, to see how they can be means of breakthrough, indeed, miracles.
  • Wonder what to make of difficulties in life?
  • How to read the ‘signs’ in your life?
  • Have difficulties with surrendering?
  • Find it hard to be/remain grateful?
  • Struggle in seeing this world in light of the eternal horizon (akhira)?
If you have experienced any (or all) of these issues, you will benefit greatly from attending this year's retreat led by Quranic scholar, Dr. Yamina Bouguenaya:
  • To see the signs of God in your soul and life,
  • To recognize the blessings in disguise, and the most beautiful names [al-asma' al-husna] reflected therein
  • To discover gratitude to God as key to peace , wisdom, and joy
  • To  break the vicious cycle of (ghafla),
  • To find your blocks to insight, gratitude & surrender

Basic Schedule
The retreat starts on Dec 22 Saturday morning with check-in and ends on Dec 25 Tuesday at 2 pm. The schedule includes morning Quranic reflection/discussions, main lectures with Q&A, and interactive sessions. Five daily prayers in the mosque, two main meals (breakfast and dinner), tea breaks, and a rest/socialization time are also part of the daily schedule.
